TIGS' next competition will be held on Saturday the 11th of February at Pao Shan Country Club. Tee off is at 11AM and the bus will pick us up at 9:00AM. This will be followed by the awards ceremony at La Bodega at 7:30PM.

Fong Yuen

  1. From both the south and the north Freeway 1 (at 165km) and Freeway 3 (at 169km), turn east onto Freeway (cloverleaf) 4.
  2. Proceed inland to the eastern end of Freeway 4 to a T-junction with Route (shield) 3; turn right and set odometer trip to ‘0’.
  3. After 600m, turn left at traffic signals; 7/11 store is on SE corner of the junction
  4. At 1.6km, turn left at T-junction.
  5. Follow this road round a series of bends to Fong Yuen Golf Club; take left fork at 5.0km into golf club car park.

Wu Fong

Head South on the number 3. Leave FREEWAY 3 at 210Km  junction….. follow slip road to T-junction

·         Turn RIGHT towards CAOTUN (not Wufong) you are now on HIGHWAY 3….

·         Follow road for 700 metres, turn LEFT at T-lights (see sign for EQ/Seismic museum and WuFong GC.) 

·         ‘Zero’ your trip-meter here….. after 0.5Km Pass EQ Museum (ruin of building) on right .

·         at 1.5Km Pass by tower on right … follow road and at 3.1KM turn right (after temple/gate).

·         Follow narrow road, x-ing over a bridge and then turn left at T-junction (3.8Km) … Follow narrow road x-ing two more bridges….

·         At 5.2Km Follow road left uphill (there ia a LARGE Sign in English)

·         Follow twisting road to Y-junction (5.7Km) see Large WFGC column, this is GC entrance take right fork and follow road to Clubhouse which is a further 1.3Km (or 7.0 Km from Highway 3)

 National Gardens

  1. Exit Freeway 3 onto Highway 140 at Yuanli / Sanyi interchange at ~ km 156

  1. Take the eastbound Highway 140 for about 200m from Freeway 3 to traffic lights, set odometer to ’0’ and turn left onto Highway 121

  1. Odometer 2.5 km turn right

  1. Odometer 3.5km turn right again

  1. Odometer 4.2km turn left through Martial Arts Arch, after passing underneath high speed rail viaduct

  1. Odometer 4.6km turn right, do not pass under second Martial Arts Arch; this is a narrow road, so take care.

  1. Odometer 5.8km turn left at golf ball sign

  1. Odometer 6.7km turn right into golf course opposite advertising hoardings

  Chungwha

Head south on the 74 as if you were heading to Tai Fong golf course.

Where you would normally turn left onto the 137 to get to Tai Fong you now turn right.

Follow the 137 for 4.2 KM, you will pass a school on your left and then there will be a sign overhead that says Chunghwa City. Shortly after you will see two signs on the right hand side , one blue, one orange. This is the turning for the golf course.

The turning is exactly 4.2 KM from the time you left the 74.

Follow this short road up to the golf course.

 Tai Fong

From Freeway 3 South

Take exit (Left) to Jhangbin at KM202.1, go south on route 74 to km 8.2, turn left (east) onto road 137 and keep going for about 5.8km until you see the sign to turn left for the University.  Tai Hong GC turning is on the right after about 0.6km.

 

From Freeway 3 North

Take exit (Right) to Jhangbin at KM202.1, go south on route 74 to km 8.2, turn left (east) onto road 137 and keep going for about 5.8km until you see the sign to turn left for the University.  Tai Hong GC turning is on the right after about 0.6km.

 

From Taichung

Take Expressway 74 south to km 8.2, turn left (east) onto road 137 and keep going for about 5.8km until you see the sign to turn left for the University.  Tai Hong GC turning is on the right after about 0.6km
